The projects for SSE 698 will cover the development of a web site for a bakery because I love to bake. The site will include a menu with pictures as well as online ordering capabilities. The last two projects of the semester will cover the efforts that go into building this site. Over the course of the semester we will cover all of the following topics:
Menu with pictures
Online ordering capabilities
Data binding
Web controls
CSS
Collections
Programmatic redirection
Logins
Exception Handling
Project 2:
Project 2 will include a discussion about the inital design of the web site as well and the design of the supporting database. Project 2 will cover the development of a simple website and will not include the portions related to online ordering.
Project 3:
Project 3 will focus on including the online ordering capabilities into the website as well as more complex controls and building custom controls for our use.
Technologies To Be Used:
My partner and I will be using Microsoft C# with ASP.NET. Our development environment will be Visual Studio 2008. We will use SQL Server 2005 for the database platform and IIS for the Web Server.
